Springdale, AR Fire Department SPL Competition / Car Show Fundraiser

It was my pleasure to help out this past weekend in Springdale, AR at a local Fire Department's fundraiser. Myself and other staff provided the Hickory Creek Fire Department with a Usaci Outlaw SPL and a dB Drag Racing competition. Both formats were 3X events with several national level competitors competing.

It was a cold morning as several competitors got there early. Outlaw Road Show Productions was on scene

 

with a full stage and sound system. The show started around 12PM just as it started warming up. One by one competitors came through the SPL lanes in search of big numbers. Many found them such as Danny Hays with their Extreme/Super Mod 47 Sedan doing a staggering score of 173.1 dB! The Usaci lanes was crankin' it up with their new format called Street Beat. Most of the competitors was trying out this format for the first time. All the entries in this format get an invite to the Usaci World Finals in Kansas City.

The car show had about 60 entries. Not bad for their first annual event. The rodeo arena where the show was held was the perfect location for this event. Lots of great looking cars were on display as were several one of a kinds.

dB Drag eliminations came and went with several first time competitors taking home trophies. You could see the look in their eyes as they got hooked on SPL competition. The Usaci line grew very long as one by one they passed through the lane. The show ended around 4PM with trophies shortly there after.
